We are unstoppable when we are cycling but are we safe? “Two Wheels Gurugram” is a 5 day event and exhibition that explores the need for improved cycling infrastructure in the city through art. By inviting decision makers, CEOs, active citizens, RWAs, and civil society organisations, the aim is to spark a conversation around the outlook the city has had toward cyclists, what needs to be changed and what our individual and organisational roles are in making this change happen. Synopsis: K-pop found its first fans in India in the north-eastern state of Manipur, India - a ban on Bollywood films by separatist rebels in the region sparked a following for Korean dramas and eventually K-pop around 2000s. Due to consistent efforts by the Korean government in organising events, shows, this influence has now reached the ‘mainland’. The documentary film delves into how and why Indians are identifying with K-Pop music, finding it a better alternative to Western one. By highlighting the growth of K-pop groups through the internet, the film explores how the larger influence of Korean entertainment is manifesting itself in an exponential consumption of Korean products in the market. The name of the documentary, “There is a person in Seoul who understands you” was inspired by a conversation between the director and her cousin, whose life changed after BTS, world’s most famous K-Pop band, came into her life. The documentary thus, is an energetic trip through the world of Korean music thriving within the homes of India.
